Strouts Point's Facilities
About Strouts Point:

Strouts Point was intentionally designed as something of a contradiction. It looks like an indigenous old-time Maine boatyard. It has that friendly atmosphere one associates with Maine. At the same time, it is a functional, modern, well constructed, well equipped yard capable of all tasks.

The dock system, for instance, is a continuous laminated beam structure. Very sturdy, with no mechanical joints, held in place with special mooring cables, it was Maine's first year-round dock system. It has withstood ice and hurricanes. It feels spacious and stable, and is a pleasure to use. The boating season at Strouts goes from ice to ice, often for twelve months, if winter cooperates.

The office, mechanical shop, repair building and dockstore are constructed along the same lines. They are attractive, traditional looking structures designed for today. The whole complex is a very unique facility.

Strouts Point has a first-class docksystem that was designed for both ease-of-use and durability. It was constructed as a year-round installation so the season at Strouts ends only when the harbor freezes in winter.
Indoor Storage Facility and Heated Shop:

The heated storage facility provides workspace for ten 50' boats to be serviced over the winter. With excellent equipment and expert staff, Strouts Point has established a reputation as a talented and versatile service facility.
Hull Repair Shop:
This state-of-the art facility is used primarily as a woodworking and fiberglass shop, with most of the paint and varnish work taking place in the new climate controlled storage building.
Main Office, Honda Showroom and Outboard Repair Facility:

The original building when Strouts Point opened in 1987, our current office building once served all of the functions now spread between our four buildings. It now houses our offices, Honda outboard showroom, and our mechanical shop.
The Dockstore and Yard:

The dockstore is located at the head of our docksystem, and serves as a chandlery and home-base for the summer dockstaff. Usually the busiest area of the marina, you'll find people surveying the weather and watching the harbor activity in the summer.
